Dániel Somogyi-Tóth, Imre Kollár

The Kodály Philharmonia Debrecen, co-organizer of the competition, is represented in the jury by director Dániel Somogyi-Tóth and chief conductor Imre Kollár.

Dániel Somogyi-Tóth

Dániel Somogyi-Tóth graduated from the Liszt Academy in 2006. He has participated in concerts in the Zürich Tonhalle, the Philharmonie im Gasteig in Munich, the Tel Aviv Opera, and has played in performances with Nigel Kennedy, Sir Neville Marriner, Yuri Simonov, Erika Miklósa and Bobby McFerrin. In 2021 he was appointed to the post of General Music Director of the City of Debrecen.

Imre Kollár

Imre Kollár, chief conductor of the Kodály Philharmonia Debrecen, graduated from the Liszt Academy. From 1995 to 2008 he was the Music Director of the Debrecen Philharmonic – predecessor of the Kodály Philharmonic –, before taking up the post of Artistic Director of the MÁV Symphony Orchestra between 2008 and 2010. In 1989, he won the Audience Prize at Hungarian Television’s 6th International Conducting Competition, and later on, in 1994, took 1st prize at the Treviso Conducting Competition.
